Active Release Technique – A.R.T

Active Release Technique

Active Release Technique (ART) is a manual hands-on therapy treatment that corrects muscular and soft tissue injury or damage to the soft tissue. Soft tissue consists of muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments and the connective tissue that surrounds the muscles, nerves and tendons. The ART method, based on scientific evidence that muscles, nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue develop adhesions in, around and between the muscles after repetitive injury.

Adhesions cause the motion of muscles and joints to be altered compressing nerves, resulting in a wide variety of symptoms that characterize repetitive injury simply known as scar tissue.
